1. Who we are
Plomb is operated by [Owner's legal name], sole trader, trading as Plomb (ABN [ABN — pending]), [Business postal address], New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us").
These terms apply to the Plomb website and app at plomb.app (the "Service"). By creating a shop or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.
2. The Service
Plomb helps sign shops and other makers of custom products send proofs to their customers, check each proof against the details the customer typed, collect change requests and record approvals.
The automatic check is an aid, not a guarantee. It reads text with OCR and PDF text layers and can miss or misread things; anything it is unsure about is marked "check by eye". You remain responsible for your proofs, your production files and what you make. Customers approve proofs themselves; we never approve on anyone's behalf.
3. Accounts
You need a shop account to use the app. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You can sign in with email and password, Google or Microsoft.
Your customers do not need an account: they use private links you send them. Treat those links like keys and revoke any you no longer want to work.
4. Plans, payment and Paddle
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Solo and Shop) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the prices shown on the pricing page when you subscribe.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) apply to your purchase, and Paddle collects any sales tax, VAT or GST due.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing (Paddle's customer portal); you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately and Paddle charges or credits the difference.
We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice by email. Founding-shop discounts stay for as long as that subscription stays active.
5. Plan limits and fair use
Each plan includes a number of users and new orders per calendar month, as shown on the pricing page. Demo orders never count. If you reach a limit you can upgrade or wait for the next month; existing orders keep working.
Do not use the Service to break the law, to upload malware, to attack or overload the Service, to send spam, or to infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend accounts that do, after notice where practical.
6. Your content
You and your customers keep all rights in what you upload: proofs, logos, photos, production files, details and messages ("Customer Content"). You give us permission to store, process and display Customer Content only to provide the Service to you and your customers.
We do not sell Customer Content, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models. The proof checker runs on our own server and does not send your files to third parties.
You are responsible for having the right to upload Customer Content and for the accuracy of what you send your customers.
7. Data protection
For personal information about your customers, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, under the Privacy Policy and these terms. We will only process it on your instructions (which are these terms and your use of the app), keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate security, use only the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy, help you answer requests from individuals, tell you without undue delay about a breach affecting it, and delete it when you close your shop.
8. Export, cancellation and deletion
You can ask us for an export of your shop's data at any time (orders, details, approvals and files) by emailing support@plomb.app. You can close your shop at any time; we delete its data within 30 days of closing, except records we must keep by law (such as billing records held by Paddle) and backups, which expire within a further 30 days.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and backed up but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a core feature you pay for during a paid period without notice and a fair remedy.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the Service again or refunding the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including reprints, lost profits or lost business, including where a proof was approved with an error the automatic check did not catch.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms; for material changes we will email shop owners at least 30 days before they apply.
